Admissions

Scholarships & Bursaries

We strongly believe that a Laurels School education should be available to every girl and not just those who can afford the fees. We offer both  scholarships and bursaries for 11+, 13+ & Sixth Form entry.

Bursaries

Bursary awards are means tested. The worth of a bursary is awarded on a sliding scale, depending on your means.

Bursaries are awarded if a girl is successful in the entrance exam and interview; her family’s bursary application is successful; and if there are sufficient funds available in the bursary fund.

If you have any questions at all about bursary applications please email the Finance Department.

Bursary Application Deadline

Families seeking a bursary must request an application form when registering their daughter(s) via the contact details above. The completed application and supporting materials must be submitted to PACT Finance by a given date in November of the year before entry. Read more about deadlines here.

Decision Date

Letters from the Admissions Office with information on bursary decisions are posted to applicants on the same day as offer letters.

Acceptance of Offer Deadline

Offers for places for 2024 entry must be accepted by Monday 4th March 2024.

Scholarships

We offer Maths, English, Overall Academic, Sport, Art, Drama and Music Scholarships. These are available for each key entry point. In addition, The Edith Stein Scholarship is occasionally awarded to a candidate who demonstrates a commitment to excellence and the potential to be a role model for others.

Academic scholarships are available for entry to the VI Form. For further information, please click here.

Scholarships are typically in the range of 10% of the school’s annual fees and are renewed until the holder leaves the school, subject to satisfactory progress and conduct.

Applicants for academic scholarships will be considered on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination and interview as well as on their current school’s reference.

Art, music, drama and sport scholarships are decided based on the candidate's performance on assessment day, the scholarship interview, and the references received.
