Congratulations to our A level pupils

Congratulations to our class of 2023, who received their A level results today. There are wonderful individual success stories and, as ever, a wide range of future destinations.

Among our leavers is Charlotte, who is going to study General Engineering at Sheffield after gaining 4 A levels in Computer Science, Geography, Maths and Physics.

Emma joined us in Year 12 from Hungary; she originally intended to be with us for one year, but loved her experience of being an international student so much that she chose to stay on and complete her A levels with us. Now, she’s off to study International Law at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, ranked third in the EU for its law faculty.

Other leavers include Anne-Marie who has chosen to study primary teaching at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, while Elena will study primary teaching at Greenwich. Both girls have volunteered at a local primary school as part of our Arete programme and have been inspired to pursue a career in education themselves.

Mrs Sanders, our Headmistress, said: ‘We are delighted that Laurels girls go on to such a wide range of future universities and careers, which reflects the care we take in helping each girl through our tutor system. This allows them to find their own individual paths in life.

‘Impressively, their value-added scores show that their results were on average 2 grades above what was predicted when they started VI Form. Well done to all our pupils on their hard work and to the teachers who have supported them to achieve such success.’
