Boys and girls at The Cedars and The Laurels are taught co-educationally in the VI Form, but there are also lots of opportunities for girls to enjoy the benefits of a girls' school.
From the minute you walk through the door, you know we are different; there is a warm, family atmosphere – we all know each other and you will never feel lost. But, at the same time, you will have a lot of independence, because we recognise that VI Form is about preparation for university and life beyond school.
You will still have a lot of support, because you have your own personal tutor with whom you meet regularly to discuss how you are getting on, how you can improve and will help you stay on track.
You will take part in the Laurels Arete programme, which will give you so many opportunities to grow and discover new horizons in all areas of your life.
We offer many trips and have visited companies including Amazon and Apple, to give students an insight into future careers.
You will be expected to study hard and be pro-active in your learning but you will be helped to achieve the very best you can.
You will get to know your teachers extremely well as our teaching groups are small and tailored to you.
You are expected to be smart and dress in a professional manner in clothes which would be considered suitable for a formal job interview.
You will be encouraged to develop and deepen your own personal faith.
